January 2023 marks 20 years that Carolyn Currington has been Musical Director of Faultline. Her association goes back further however, having previously sung baritone and lead with the chorus as well as being part of various quartets.
A qualified singing teacher with a charismatic style, Carolyn has a real passion for leading choirs and chorus groups. Her energy and enthusiasm are infectious, captivating both chorus members and audiences whenever Faultline performs.
Under Carolyn’s directorship the chorus has grown and achieved increasingly higher grades in regional (New Zealand) competitions. In 2016 Faultline was awarded Master Chorus status, an honour bestowed on choruses scoring more than 600 points at the Sweet Adelines Regional Competition. At the same time Carolyn became a Master Director.
She is now also the Directors Coordinator for Sweet Adelines NZ, representing the interests of all Directors throughout New Zealand on the Sweet Adelines Regional Management Team.
